Private Individual or Group Yoga Classes - Adults or Children

While public group yoga classes have their place, they are limited in how directly they can serve an individual's unique physical, mental, cultural, energetic, and other situation. And unless designed specifically as such, they are limited in how they can serve a group of people with specific needs. 

Private Individual Yoga Classes
Traditionally, yoga was taught 1:1 so the teacher could provide teachings based on the student's needs and goals. A specific program is developed that the student follows on a daily basis. In regular consultations with the teacher, the student provides feedback, and the practice becomes a living, breathing entity that evolves and changes with the student's needs. In this way, the value of an individualized practice far outweighs that of a generalized practice, and in this method of learning, the student's ability to progress and meet their personal requirements and goals is accelerated. Today, students may choose to meet with a teacher for very specific learning -- for example, how to meditate, chant, use effective breath work, or understand a specific type of posture as it relates to the needs present in their body. Or, they might choose to meet with a teacher for the overall evolution of their practice.

What you get: 
  • 100% full, undivided attention of the teacher in a private setting

  • Program that takes into consideration your physical, mental, cultural, and other unique attributes
  • Classes can follow a set theme/focus or will be guided by your desired goal 
  • A written take home practice sheet for your reference, if applicable
  • Deeper learning on every layer as the teachings pertain to your life journey

Investment:
  • 60-minute sessions: $90 ea / $800 for 10 sessions
  • 90-minute sessions: $120 ea /$1100 for 10 sessions

Private Group Yoga Classes
Similarly, a group of people with specific needs might be interested in creating a private group session to address those needs. While the practice might be generalized for the group on some levels, the benefit of having the class geared towards the most prevalent over-arching need would be the focus in this type of practice. For example, students that are generally well and able bodied, but that are deaf or hard of hearing, might choose to create a DF/HOH group class and enjoy not having to try to figure out the instructions of a roaming teacher in a large, public group setting. Another of many examples is a group of people affected by abuse. The benefits of yoga can be an immense help in overcoming their trauma, but neither a private individual, nor public group class are necessarily appropriate, but a private group class in a safe environment, with people they already know in the same practice group might be the right practice scenario for some.

  • 90-minute sessions: $140 ea / $1300 for 10 sessions
